The Rise of The Trenches:

Lil Durk is one of the best rappers in the game today hands down. The Chicago native first broke into the Chicago rap drill scene in 2011-2012 with projects/songs like “I’m Still A Hitta” and “Dis Ain’t What U Want”. While he didn’t fully pop off at that time, Durk didn’t stop.

He slowly evolved his sound and style so in 2018, he was able to build what seemed like a cult-like fanbase. This ultimately allowed him to collaborate with Drake for their hit song “Laugh Now Cry Later”, which has almost 1B streams on Spotify alone.

Over the past couple of years, Durk further demonstrated why he is arguably one of the most talented and hardworking artists in the game. Whether it was cross genre collaborating with country star Morgan Wallen for “Broadway Girls” or sending uplifting messages with his recent hit song “All My Life” with J. Cole, which helped Durk get his very 1st Grammy.

In the end, Lil Durk’s impact on rap will not go unnoticed, as he easily will go down as one of the most influential artists coming out of Chicago!
